Good afternoon BCP Families!
Thank you for your flexibility and patience during this uncertain time. It appears as though we will be out of school for quite some time, so we will distribute chromebooks and iPads to students who need them tomorrow, March 20, at BCP between 12:00 and 3:00pm, and Saturday, March 21 between 11:00am and 2:00pm. Chromebooks are available for students who need them, one device per household. If you have a solution that works at home and don’t need to borrow one of ours, please do not come to the distribution.
To maintain social distance, we will distribute them in drive-thru fashion. Similar to how cars line up for dismissal, any family member or parent coming for a chromebook should stay in their car and wait until we can pass them a device. My team and I will be taking additional precautions to keep ourselves and those in your car safe.
This may take a great deal of time, so please be patient. But we aim to open the gates and start the distribution of chromebooks at noon tomorrow.
In addition to our chromebook distribution, please find a list of Statewide resources available to our families at the link here, and use this link to access the Miami-specific resources available (food, unemployment assistance, childcare options, etc.)
As a reminder, next week is Spring Break, so teachers and staff won’t be working to move forward with instruction. However, we are all in the same boat, and for that reason we are here should you need anything. Upon returning from Spring Break, we will introduce our new learning platform, a daily schedule for students, and guidance on what is expected regarding distance learning.
